Belly Week 15
Reflections from this week? I’m so glad I’m feeling better! I’ve heard these will be the best three months of pregnancy. The last trimester, I’m suppose to start feeling huge and uncomfortable. I’ve got to enjoy these three months while I can!
Currently, there are no weird food combination cravings. I’ll start to crave something when I think it smells delicious or think of something really yummy. Couple weeks ago, my craving was Korean BBQ. Last week it was duck. Today it was Swedish Meatballs because my sister was talking about Ikea (and you know how good Ikea’s Swedish Meatballs are!). Unfortunately, there’s no Ikea around me, so I went on a half hour hunt for Swedish Meatballs at my local grocery store. Luckily I found some and my craving is now satisfied!
Sweet Relief
FINALLY…the morning sickness has subsided. Sometimes I still get the urge to hurl, but those times are now more like once a day rather than every time I smelled something a little off. I also now feel like I have most of my energy back and can make it through the day without falling asleep at my desk.
The timing couldn’t be more perfect either because this weekend Luke and I decided to take the weekend off and spend some time at Siesta Key, probably my favorite beach in Florida. White sands, warm calm water, and slightly overcast for made a nice, cool, relaxing weekend. If only we had a few more days there…
Never ending morning sickness
Alright folks. What’s the deal? I’m a little into my second trimester and still morning sickness (all day sickness rather) persists. I sure hope things start to settle now in the next couple weeks. I don’t know how much more of this I can handle!
On other notes, I feel little flutterings in my belly, perhaps the baby moving…perhaps indigestion?
Pictures

Today was another doctor’s appointment. Baby’s heart rate is at 175. I asked the nurse how big the baby was now and she said anywhere between 6-7 inches from head to rump. During the ultrasound, it was great to see little Spot squirming around. I can’t feel any movement yet, so it was really nice to see that movement on screen.
The Belly

Ah, the belly. So far, the belly hasn’t been too noticeable, but now, it’s starting to show. It may just look like I’m gaining weight, but I swear I’m not FAT, I’m just PREGNANT!
I’m around 12 weeks right now. Nearing the end of the first trimester. I hope all the stories I hear about getting your energy back and not being nauseous all the time are true. If not, I’ll have serious bones to pick with all you people who have been telling me that!! (just kidding…)
