Santa Barbara
We spent the last week in Santa Barbara CA. Luke and Jesse went to a conference the first couple days and the rest of the time was spent hanging out with Jim and Michelle in the area. Our hotel overlooked the ocean which was nice, so we spent some time at the beach. We also went downtown and spent a couple hours in Solvang (a dutch town) and toured some wineries. It was a good trip, but I’m glad to be home. I was at the end of my rope yesterday. I wonder when I will actually be able to fully relax on a family vacation… Maybe that will be 10 years from now??

Izzy found one of Luke’s hats in the mud room today. She put it on and went around the house saying “hah, hah” (she means “hat”).
Colorado Run 5K
I made it across the finish line with a finishing time of 39:09! Okay, compared to the top finisher who had a time of 16:26 that’s nothing, but I still feel good that I crossed the finish line. During the run I was thinking that it’s crazy that people pay to run in these races! I ran with friends Heidi and Gretchen who helped to keep the pace. Again, thanks to Nate who helped me train for this event. I don’t think I’ll run another 5K in awhile =)
Super 8’s
During our move we discovered some digital versions of super 8 films that were taken when Luke was a baby. It’s fun to see Luke and Jesse as little kiddos and random shots of their life.

We think this dog was Luke’s cousin Corey’s dog back in the day.
