Def: A biographical name meaning “top of a hill”.

I’m Maisie Knowles a Christ-follower, wife, mother, business partner, chef, janitor, educator, sister, daughter… This is my blog about my life, my family, my business and everything else.

Luke is my husband, my best friend, father of our children, and business partner. We met in 2004 at the top of Copper Mountain, CO. We moved to the Orlando area shortly after that. In March 2005 we started Kinoli as a web design and development boutique. On May 14, 2005 we were married at an outdoor ceremony in Lake Mary, FL.

After purchasing our first home and our basset hound Samson, we focused on running our business from the spare bedroom. At the end of 2007, Luke launched FreeShipping.org which eventually lead us to change our business model.

On January 26, 2008 our first little blessing entered our lives. Isabelle Faith Knowles was born! After getting into the swing of parenthood, we sold our house in Florida and moved back to Colorado in August of 2008. Fort Collins become home and we spent some time building our house. We moved into our new house July 2009 and converted the front living room into an office where Luke and 3 employees were working at the time.

By early 2010, Kinoli had outgrown the space we had in our house. It was time to move the company out of our house an into a proper office space. Office space was acquired and we moved the company out of the house just in time to welcome Joelle Grace Knowles into our family. She was born on May 29, 2010.

Our family feels complete and our lives are full. We’re so grateful for what we’ve been blessed with and are focused on whatever the future has in store for us.
